Final Major Project

Slowness

As part of my bachelor degree at Southampton Solent University,  I had to choose and research a subject within the final major project.

My Project is about slowness, such as slow movements, like the speed of a tortoise or hair growth. Including slow changes or durations of events over time, like the process of food that rots or a long time experiment as the pitch drop experiment.

Nearly everyone knows that the one moving faster will go farther than the one moving slower in the same amount of time. And the slowest possible speed is to measure the shortest possible distance moving over the longest possible time.

The reason for this chosen subject slowness, firstly because some people, such as myself, use hours and hours to complete a simple task, while others complete it in no time.  Secondly, because nowadays we live in a busy world, where there is a lot of time pressure and people lack time. People are caught in a net of work and so called hobbies, which are more like a second job, and time for relaxing equals zero.
